Boost good practice and strong risk management in higher education

The tertiary education regulator is looking to engage with higher education providers to improve the system’s integrity.

Maintaining a quality higher education system is the impetus behind the Tertiary Education Quality Standards Agency’s (TEQSA) decision to roll out a national series of workshops, appointing the University of South Australia to develop and deliver 20 across the country.

The EQUALS workshops will commence towards the end of October and higher education providers will be receiving their invitations to participate soon.

In an official statement, the education regulator paraphrased TEQSA CEO Anthony McClaran, who said they were keen to increase engagement with education providers to promote good practices and strong risk mitigation strategies.

“Importantly, the workshops will promote discussion and assist higher education providers in protecting academic integrity, particularly in the context of preventing, detecting and responding to contract cheating,” McClaran said.
